Sporking teh Badfic

BioSporking 101: Understanding (surviving) the Fic Sporking Room
This wonderful place developed in Lucidscreamer's LJ. Brave soul that she is, she would, in the course of trying to find good stories to read, discover badfic so awful that it simply had to be mocked. These badfic mockings were originally excerpts of the badfic with snarky reviewer comments interspersed between them. Ultimately various fictives appeared to support the mocking and it is thus that sporkings, and the Fic Sporking Crew (FSC) were born. Lucid's sporkings tend to feature the entire Yu-Gi-Oh cast, along with notable extras, such as Kiaba (a kinder, gentler Kaiba badfic stand-in since "authoresses" can't seem to spell even canon character names properly!) Te'A, Anzu's Klingon Warrior stand-in, created when some "authoresses" couldn't figure out how to accent her American name properly, etc. She also has various fictives from her writing show up too, usually to give her grief about not working on their story. The most prevalent of these appears to be Crow!Peter.
Somewhere along the way, cookies appeared. Their most common use is to reward someone for an especially snarky comment, or to appease another of the FSC. Here's an example:
Yami B: We're ancient Egyptians! Even if we had any idea what the hell you were saying, Little Miss "I'm from Japan Not Hell," we wouldn't know what a SAT was if it sailed up the Nile on a golden barque and bit the Pharaoh on the ass!
Yami: That's right, we... HEY!
Yami B: Eh, heh. ^_^;; ...Cookie? (From this sporking.)
Turns out Dark Magician is the Cookie Master. He (evidently) has a complete kitchen attached to the sporking room, wears a frilly purple apron and possesses several recipes for delicious cookies.
Well, somehow or another (with Lucid's permission) the GFSS (Giant Fic Sporking Screen) has become mobile and now winds up part of the time in my Musetorium (the place in my mind where my Muses like to congregate, talk with each other, concoct improbable cross-overs, etc.) and well, chaos generally ensues.
My Fic Sporkings have very broad tones of Reviewer Self Insertions (since I am the reviewer and love Mahaad's company so very much!). I understand the seeming irony of it, since that is one of the things I tend to spork. In my defense, the sporkings are not serious writing. I'm using them as a way to vent my frustration at some of the badfic out there, hopefully while entertaining fellow sufferers of badfic; and as a way to harmlessly discharge my tendencies toward Mary Sue and ASI stories, so that my serious writing is free of these badfic pitfalls.
My FSC is more undisciplined that Lucid's. Notable members (and explanations where necessary):

(Yes, self-indulgent. No, I don't care. :-p )

Half the fun of sporkings is that you never know who's going to show up. Lucid has had Liberace and Albert Einstein appear in her sporkings. I haven't attracted such celebrities, but I have had Michael Kelso (That Seventies Show) appear in one sporking thus far.
That's about it for Mahaad's Angel Sporkings 101. If you don't understand something that is happening in a sporking, don't worry about it. Just relax, let the random silliness flow around you, and realize that even badfic (well, some of it) does have a purpose. At least as sporking fodder.
